This race is wide open and I will spread out my bets because I expect the winner to pay a decent price.

First-time starters #3 Play Reveille, #4 Cloud Striker and #6 Excessive Charm would all be good bets if the price is right. I’d like second timers #7 Catifornya Dreamin and #10 Gifted Gina more if the public bets them into the 3-to-1 to 7-to-1 range. And both #9 Bettyboomboom and #14 Flash Dance have good early speed.

I will bet $300 on #6 Excessive Charm from 3/1 to 10/1 and $200 on both #3 Play Reveille and #4 Cloud Striker at 10/1 to 19/1.

Also, I want $150 on both #7 Catifornya Dreamin and #10 Gifted Gina at 3/1 to 7/1 and $200 on #14 Flash Dance at 5/1 and over.

Of course, I don’t expect to have money on all six of these horses, as I believe two or three won’t have the proper odds.
